The Head of Mobile at PlayStation Studios has announced his departure from the Japanese company.
Nicola Sebastiani signed with Sony in 2021 and was responsible for building the mobile team and played a key role in the acquisition of Savage Game Studios.
Over the course of these two years, Sony Interactive Entertainment has recruited employees from Apple, Meta, Tencent, Samsung, Niantic, Zynga, Riot and other companies for this department.
Sebastiani himself actually worked at Apple before joining Sony. He spent eight years with Cupertino, including serving as content director for Apple Arcade, its video game subscription service for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac.
The manager’s departure was unannounced to “pursue a new opportunity.” It is not yet known who will be his successor.
