Ubisoft has released a free demo of the new Prince of Persia.
The Lost Crown is a 2.5D Metroidvania developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, the studio behind acclaimed platformers such as Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends.
The demo is available on all platforms. However, note that the PC version will not be available on Steam. Currently it is only released on the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect, although in recent months the French company has begun to bring games from its catalog such as Far Cry 6 or Rainbow Six Extraction to Steam with a certain delay.
You can read our analysis of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown here: “After nearly fifteen years of absence, it returns in style. This is done with a bold effort that respects the essence of the license but is also able to stand out its freshness that comes from imbibing the challenging rhythm of modern Metroidvania.”
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will be released on January 18th for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
